Fluorine oil, as a perfluoroalkane compound, is widely used as the continuous phase of water-in-oil droplets because of its low viscosity, high boiling point and good biocompatibility. What's more, according to the principle of similar solubility, fluorine oil is immiscible with hydrocarbon alkyl compounds, so fluorine oil, as a continuous phase, can be used to prepare not only fluorine oil-in-water droplets, but also fluorine oil-in-acetonitrile, fluorine oil-in-DMF, fluorine oil-in-methanol and other droplets, and at the same time, because the contents of the droplets are insoluble in the fluorine oil, so it can realize almost 100% encapsulation efficiency for the contents of the droplets.
