SynBBB is a microfluidic device that allows to reconstruct the complexity of the brain in vivo microenvironment by replicating histological sections of brain tissue cells that communicate with endothelial cells across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Interactions between brain tissue cells and endothelial cells are easily observed in the SynBBB model by biochemical or electrical analysis.
